I've used this garage a number of times and I've been very impressed with their extraordinary level of honesty and professionalism.A few months ago, I took an old Astra in for its MOT. It failed due to leaking exaust and I was given a quote for a repair. I decided to proceed with the repair. When I came to collect the car, I was told that the part had been cheaper than initially expected, and that I would be charged less than quoted. I greatly appreciated that.Heronsgate again showed their professionalism when the radiator exploded on the same car. After I'd taken it in, I got a call to tell me that there was a hole in the radiator and it would need replacing. I was also told that there was a very strong posibility that this failure had been caused by a blown head gasket, which would put the car beyond economic repair. Despite charging nothing for diagnostics, they advised me that it would be risky to repair the radiator and that I should consider not doing it. If I had decided to scrap the car, they would have made no money, but they still told me that this course of action might be best.Just this morning, I took my new (used) car in because it was making a horrendous grinding noise when turning right. They saw it immediately, without appointment, because I had to go to work and needed to know if the car was safe to drive. The mechanic found that it was just a loose undertray that was causing the problem (it was missing screws). He removed it for me and advised me to take the car back to the dealership where I bought it and have them fit the undertray properly, because they would need to do it for free. He then refused to accept any payment for what he'd already done. Needless to say, I booked it back into Heronsgate for them to finalise the repair!I really feel that the garage has proved its honesty and high level of customer service to me. In the first case, they could have charged me the original quoted amount. In the second case, they could have just quoted a repair of the radiator and not warned me that the head gasket may be blown. This morning, they didn't have to see me right away, they could have charged me for diagnostics, they could have lied and told me it was something more serious. I know many garages that would have done all these things. There's a great deal of dishonesty and unprofessionalism in the car repair industry, but not at this garage.Update: Heronsgate have now refitted the undertray. They only charged me 15.
