Lovely local restaurant. Good food and drink at good prices and friendly service. Nice options at breakfast too.
Fantastic little independent restaurant. Delicious Sunday roast served by very welcoming staff and a chef who's not shy of coming out to meet and greet his guests. Can't wait to go back!
Me and my wife went into the restaurant last night without booking, was doubtful of getting a table as there appeared to be an event on in Chorleywood highstreet, we were welcomed in in a very cheerful manner, which is usually lost in most restaurants. It was quite crowded as it is only a small place but was to be expected with the busyness of the area. The menu was varied and offered some great choices of meals, we ordered and were moved to a larger table as we had ordered quite a significant amount of food from the tapas menu and a main meal for the wife. The hostess couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful, she wasn't over bearing, but made us feel welcome and kept making sure we were happy at every point. The food arrived and the portion sizes were quite large, but looked and smelled fantastic!! We proceeded to tuck in and I was not disappointed! everything was delicious, the garlic king prawns I had were slightly tough and the pasta my wife had with her chicken escalope was surprisingly spicy, but the chicken was tender and succulent. It would have been nice to see slightly smaller choices on the Tapas menu to suit more individual tastes, the food was delicious but as me and my wife have very different tastes it makes it difficult to share. We still ordered what we wanted as we were stupidly hungry, when we finished the hostess, again very accommodating, asked if we would like to take anything away - which was only some olives and humus. The bill came to around 70 which was fair for what we had ordered.I will most certainly go there again with such delicious food and fantastic service.
Went there for lunch and the bill was 85 for a family of 4. It was daylight robbery! Wasn't fine dining but each tapas dish was 6to 7! The pizzas were hot, but too oily. I had green tea after coming back home as it was too greasy. Next time, my advice if you want good Italian grub head to Buon Cibo in Rickmansworth where one course is 6.99 and two courses is 9.99 for lunch and it is good country cooking...
What a super little place. Superb polite staff. Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere. Certainly not the last time we will eat there
